Berryton UMC Lenten Food Drive

We were able to collect some food for the Lenten food Drive before we received the stay at home directive. Thanks to all of you who donated early!  I am sure you are all aware that the food pantries are having a tremendous increase is demand.  They have always been a life line to people in need but no more so than now.  We would like to extend the food drive through May. There are several things that you can do.  If you would like a porch pick up of food please contact Rhonda Boyd at rjboyd@gmail.com or 785-506-4086. You then can arrange a time for her to pick up your donations. You are welcome to leave nonperishable food in the entry way at church. This will be checked on frequently and taken to the food pantries.  And of course, monetary donations are always welcome.  Checks can be mailed to the church and earmarked for the Lenten Food Drive. All food items are appreciated.  Here is a short list of things that I Care and Fellowship and Faith have mentioned as most needed:  Rice, jelly, chunky soup saltine crackers, dish soap, toothpaste.  Thank you everyone for reaching out to others during these trying times.
