L: Saviour Christ, increase our faith

P: that we may trust the unseen truths as more important

     than bland or trivial physical possessions.

L: Loving God, increase our hope

P: that we may reach out for a better tomorrow and be

     undaunted by temporary setbacks.

L: Inspiring Spirit, increase our love

P: that we may put into the world something of the joy

     and compassion which you put into our lives.

L: For the sake of your new world,

P: and to your praise and glory.

Affirmation of FAith

Will you please join me in affirming our faith with the Apostles Creed?

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;*
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic** church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Revelation 3:15-16, Genesis 11:31, 12:5

“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!

One day Terah took his son Abram, his daughter-in-law Sarai (his son Abram’s wife), and his grandson Lot (his son Haran’s child) and moved away from Ur of the Chaldeans. He was headed for the land of Canaan, but they stopped at Haran and settled there.

He took his wife, Sarai, his nephew Lot, and all his wealth—his livestock and all the people he had taken into his household at Haran—and headed for the land of Canaan.

One: This is the word of God for the people of God.
All: Thanks be to God.
